Dick Evers' art is generated by his emotions but also clearly linked to and inspired by the Abstract Expressionists. Clear references to the American development of this movement, particularly in action and colourfield painting, can be seen in his work.
A leading protagonist of the movement was Yves Klein (1928-1962), an extrovert performance artist and Nouveau Realist. Klein's ideas underlie the evolvement of Evers' development as is evidenced in both his powerful paintings and elegant sculptures.
Dick Evers, an contrast-intellectual, founded The New European Art Movement.

The Global Female Army is an investigation into the women of the world. In all countries and cultures DICX is looking for characteristic female bodies, which are perpetuated in his art. Everybody has its own expression. Sometimes you notice differences between bodies from different countries. Body language. But always you meet real people. By making an object of art of her, and getting a glimpse of her life, she comes to life. They are individual pictures, forming a mutual object of art and story altogether.
The Global Female Army lets the world of women from various (European) countries come to life. The curiosity to the story behind the female body and the sheer diversity of the ?female shape is the basic starting point for his international project. ?The women, who DICX met during his voyage, are his muses and are the source of inspiration for creating his works, both in 2D and 3D.
We are looking for partners who want to join. Interested in the Global Female Army?
