Originally I wanted to illustrate children’s books and loved the idea of telling a
story with a picture or enhancing a story with an image.
Over the years my desire to tell a story has prevailed but has now evolved into
collages and my other medium which I call ‘Story Boxes’. These constructions
and assemblages incorporate images and found objects in a way that presents a
vignette of an experience or emotion and also expresses my own mythology
and outlook on this journey through time we have on earth.
The artist who has had the biggest impact on me has been Joseph Cornell and maybe a dash of DuChamp and Rauschenberg tossed in for good measure!
