About

Born in Castel, Guernsey. Now resident in West Yorkshire, UK. Trained to teach art, Barry is now retired and paints from his studio in West Yorkshire. Artist's Statement, at present I am interested in buildings and figures in the public space, these relationships and my expressive response is a continual challenge. My work goes beyond the formal representation and I endeavour to suggest life and movement and lift the subject to a higher level and make something more memorable out of the subject. I produce work in an expressive, spontaneous and intuitive manner.
