BEAUTY may not be a goal of ART at all, but ART is always dependent upon AESTHETICS of shape and color as well as music is based on AESTHETICS of sound. And everything opposing thereto is NEITHER art, NOR music.

Using art the ARTIST instinctively explores the nature of personal consciousness outlining himself and the world around him.

There are many clever, but few artists having fine appreciation of beauty in modern ART. The ART is always rooted in TRADITIONS. Elite classical or plebian pop-culture, Altamira rock engravings (the Upper Paleolithic) are well known seeds of Attic tradition. The origin of tastelessness has not been well studied by modern art yet.
