Born in London 1944. BA., Dip.Ed., Society of Graphic Fine Art. (SGFA) Bath Society of Artists. (BSA).

Senior university lecturer and full time artist since being awarded a Goldsmiths Travel Bursary (drawing and studying Romanesque art in Spain).

I generally select a number of drawings that I have done previously, arrange them in a somewhat abstract pattern initially, adjust their relationship to each other and then allow some sort of narrative to emerge. If I had to enunciate a working principle then I think one cannot do better than quote a very unfashionable artist, Corot: “Always place an unknown next to a known”.

Work includes abstract and representative styles in a wide range of media – sculpture, print, oil, watercolour, and pastels.
