Born in Plymouth, England 1985. Currently living in Bristol after completing Ba (hons)Degree in Fine Art at University College Falmouth. Influenced by nature I have developed a painterly language that alludes to the cycle of life and its interlinking processes. My painting process is organic, Imitating nature's ephemeral flux. Engaging with the formal issues of painting I work intuitively, responding to marks previously made. Think of the many interconnecting forms in the natural world, the quiet underlying processes that often pass almost unnoticed, yet play a unified role in our complex habitat. In order to comprehend natures formation I look at variety of sources including meteorological, astrological, satellite and microscopic imagery. I'm trying to trap the intangible and unsettle the viewers sense of scale. On the verge of figuration and abstraction, my paintings are ambiguous, giving clues but not completion.
