Geraldine Mattis artistic designs and paintings reflects rich and cultural upbringing which is redefined in her work cross between art and design practice.
Geraldine Mattis uses rich colours of azure blues, indigo, greens, oranges, reds, oranges and yellow. Geraldine's work has fluidity in her way of using paint in a free spirit form and gives unpredicted, exciting and vibrant style which reflects today‟s modern design with 1930‟s abstract expressionist movement. Geraldine's designs are done by hand- as traditional art practice.
Geraldine Mattis holds over 350 original small paintings and designs.
Geraldine Mattis recently commissioned by Guggenheim Museum Store in Berlin to create 40cm abstract hand painted platter plates for „Color Fields‟ exhibition featuring well known artist Frank Stella and Mark Rothko in October 2010.
