Requiem for Van Gogh. The plaster sculpture of Van Gogh's Requiem is an oxymoron, an incredible and very harmonious combination of different textures and moods. Intertwining into one whole, the warmth of the female body and the cold of the Starry Night give an amazing sensation: we are just grains of sand in an endless universe. Under the starry sky, everyone is equal and everyone is beautiful. Creating this work, Alexander Gerasimov was inspired by the great impressionist Van Gogh - and paid tribute to him. The sculpture Requiem by Van Gogh is a celebration of life and endless beauty, grandeur and eternity of art. This work of art will look great in loft, minimalism, industrial interiors and will decorate any living room, gallery or office.
