Beach Plum Cottage Bell Painting

Since graduating from college in 1978 with a concentration in fine art (painting and pottery), I've worked in various fields, from office jobs to running my own personal chef business, to freelance writing, editing and transcription. In 2013, I finally decided to devote myself to painting. I am blessed to have the guidance of some amazing teachers who emerged from the Bauhaus, Abstract Expressionist and Arts & Crafts movements. In the past, I've worked in pottery, printmaking and painting. Now I use the gifts I've been given, to carry on the spirit of the lineage of my teachers, while of course transforming it into my own art. I love color and am dedicated to beauty and spirit. I love collaboration with the elements (as in raku pottery) and feel driven by the power of emerging image ideas to create new forms. My purpose and intention is to use my talent to create beauty because it opens people's hearts (including my own).
