Aaron is part of a series begun in 2021 about the Insurrectionists of January 6. Often I paint portraits of people that I see trending on Google Images. On a recent trip to Florence, I was struck by the many portraits in the Pitti Palace. I began to see Portraits as conveyors of meaning beyond a record of the subject but of the time and place in which they were painted. In this series I focus on the individuals who broke into the Capital on that day.
