This work was inspired by a photograph that I saw of a girl sitting at a piano. I made some modifications to the clothes and colours however it conveys the concept of contemplation that I had hoped. It is also inspired by the work of Degas and his pastels of dancers and interiors. The painting comes with a cream mount and matching backboard for greater support as depicted in the second image.
