“Happy Together” belongs to a series of three works dedicated to the end of the story of Romeo and Juliet, when the two lovers find themselves in a confusing situation where death is simulated by a potion before happening for real. Here, after waking up from her sleep and discovering Romeo lifeless next to her, Juliet decides to join her lover in death. In this painting, we see the couple in a final embrace, their faces serene, as if asleep, on the verge of the Great Sleep... This painting can be viewed while listening to the eponymous song by The Turtles. This work is produced in mixed media on canvas. It combines photography, digital art and acrylic painting (lacquered glaze and relief squares), it is a unique piece and it is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. The painting is framed in black wood (dimensions: 57 x 57 x 3.5 cm)

« In the age of digital technologies, I couldn't just be a painter or a photographer. My 'paintographies' bring down borders between techniques and offer a resolutely contemporary hybrid art. » I was born in 1975 in a small town in the French countryside and arrived in Paris in 1992 for my studies (History, English and literature). I have been a professional artist since 2007, with over 60 exhibitions across France and Europe. My artistic approach is both simple and complex. Although my work portrays a figurative aesthetic that favors clarity, it does so through a complex blending of photography, digital art, and acrylic painting. The result is a mixed technique I call ‘paintography’. My compositions highlight the fragility of the human body. I transform my model into virtual sculptures by replacing their skin with mineral materials to represent the passage of time.
