Since a kid, Olta has felt her hearing towards art, choosing painting instead of toys. Of course, there was also an inspiration behind the appearance of the early vision: following in the footsteps of her father, who graduated from the artistic lyceum for painting. Olta attended the Artistic High School for painting, but her style and precision in drawing led her to profile in monumental sculpture, where she discovered that she felt in her own territory and had to express herself as she should. The Academy of Arts was for her the space where she was formed more artistically, discovering and understanding herself more conceptually. Her profile in the Academy did not come by chance; she chose ceramics because it was a field in which she had not experimented much that she wanted to master, not only to have a variety of sculptural skills, but also because she was always looking for the best way to express herself through her art. Also, because Olta likes to model and have direct contact with matter. "It is a very interesting, very emotional interaction, as if you become one body with the matter you are processing. It involves you so much, and you feel how much you are giving of yourself.” - she says about the process that brings her works of art to life. Growing up, her interest shifted to the post-cubist movement, and Henry Moore was the artist in whom she found herself the most, one of the characteristics of his style of modeling. After finishing the Academy, Olta chose a path which for many people would seem outside her field, but she doesn't think so. The master's degree he attended was for Public Relations, as he considered communication to be an art in itself. Until now Olta has created park sculptures, directed a ceramics department, and in recent years has been integrated into the field of architecture by implementing her art in various architectural projects. Now continues her creativity in her own studio called "L'Atelier Art Furniture by Olta Ymeri"
