My name is Lilia Koleva-Bardarova. I am an artist from Sofia, which is an ancient capital with thousands of layers of history and culture. My MA from the National Academy of Art is in Porcelain and Glass Design. I also have a degree in painting from the Jules Pasquin Academy. I am active in product design and have a successful brand for cinema costumes and props, but my great passion is art, such as author's original objects and installations, which I create when I am inspired. I create sculptures from porcelain, red clay, black clay, fiberglass and metal. I like the material to help form and function, so I experiment and create without inhibitions. I like to experiment with materials and through them create unique forms in the most expressive and impactful way. The original objects that I create embody my philosophy of life, my sense of aesthetics and the fields of my imagination. My spontaneity and temperament helps to journey through form, color through conceptual ideas to the creation of objects with aesthetic and original comprehensiveness. I have two beautiful girls and a husband who is also a sculptor.
