Landscape Racha 202Z (РАША 202Z), reinforced iron. I saw this composition in my dreams. I constantly think about the degradation of Man. In this work I used the white and black of the canvas. I welded the reinforced iron thinking of the muddy footsteps on the ground, the destruction of buildings, the distorted fences and the crosses. I experienced the transition from paying homage to Pushkin and Yesenin to rejecting the evil symbol of the current Russian state. The last number of the year is replaced by the 'Z', this year will remain for me marked by this letter, symbol of this senseless war. Under the text is my signature: the fish, the secret sign of the first Christians, as well as the letters of my initials. I remember a poem I wrote many years ago: I hear her, she's coming Big and scary The watch beats War is terrifying For you, for me, She is not necessary for us (translated from Bulgarian) Чувам я иде Голяма и страшна Часовникът бие Войната е ужасна За теб, за мен, за Вас Не нужна на никой от Нас... This work, created in October 2022, was presented for the first time at the exhibition of painters in Varna, BG on 19.10.22. It was the only work dealing with the subject of the war in Ukraine. Varna is 350 km from Ukraine. There was no reaction to this work. It is a pity to draw still lifes when the earth under our feet 'smokes'. The work was arranged by the team of curators of the exhibition in the most secluded corner of the room. How sad that empathy with the victims of war is lacking.
